Jo is a second year chemistry Ph.D. student in the Gerwick Lab. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Southampton College of Long Island University in 2001, where she majored in Marine Science with a concentration in Biology. Since joining the Gerwick Lab in fall of 2005, her research has primarily focused on the isolation and characterization of novel bioactive natural products from marine algae.
