Cynthia Shuman is a postdoctoral researcher at the Gerwick research laboratories. Her research interests include drug discovery from marine sources, molecular neuropharmacology, biomolecular interactions and enzymology. Her current research focuses on the discovery and characterization of new neurotoxins and protease inhibitors from marine cyanobacteria.
