Francisco is a post-doctoral researcher in the Gerwick lab. He is interested in bridging the work of Bill and Lena Gerwick (Natural Product Chemistry and Immunology). His project will consist of identifying and characterizing the effects of anti-inflammatory molecules from marine sources in cell culture and zebrafish development. Francisco is being supported by the NIGMS/IRACDA training program at UCSD.
In his spare time he enjoys wine and cheese making (and/or consuming), comic books, and partaking in some martial arts including kendo.
