Biologial Assays

Extracts of marine algae are evaluated for useful biological properties using a rich ensemble of biological assays. These are available through collaborations with academic, industrial, and governmental laboratories, as well as through biology efforts in our laboratory at Scripps. These assays include a range of mechanism-based as well as cell-based anticancer screens, antimicrobial evaluations, agrochemical assays, and broad-based assessments for new neurotoxins.
